ZOOKEEPERS
We checked out the Taipei Zoo a great while back and I finally posted the pictures. Sorry been real busy lately so you must forgive me. Taiwan got a couple of pandas from China and the lines have been huge to see them. We waited till the novelty wore off and headed to the zoo on a weekday when the wait would be minimal. Yuan Yuan and Tuan Tuan are the two pandas and we were able to really get up close to see them. They actually have an indoor and outdoor habitat and we were able to come around twice and see them in both environments. We got real lucky cuz we heard the pandas are really usually very lazy and they basically just sit, eat, and sleep. But while we were there, they were up and really active. They must've had too much coffee for breakfast.
The highlight though, probably wasn't the pandas but rather the peacock that just walked right into our path. This beautiful peacock just walked right out of the woods and straight in front of us and Ryder was stunned. He'd never been this close and the peacock was huge. The thing must've been like 8 or 9 feet long and she looked like she could eat Ryder. We actually got a lot closer than this picture but I was holding Ryder in case peacock went berserkers on us, and I had to bust out the kung-fu panda!
The price to get into the zoo is also super cheap. NT$40 or something and I actually think it's too cheap. Charge a little more so a million people don't hang out there on the weekends!

Alex...That peacock is actually the male, not the female. The male has all the pretty feathers and the female is rather drab looking.
