The Big Election and THE DIAPER!

Grandpa and Grandma Sophie flew into town this week for the biggest political event in 8 years. Taiwan was having it's presidential election and hundreds of thousands of eligible voters living abroad came back to the island to vote. They flew in from China, Hong Kong, USA, Australia, Europe, and the rest of the world. To make a very long story short, the blue-clad KMT Party had been leading in the polls the whole way but everyone wanted to come back to vote just to make sure another 0.1 % loss would not happen again. Four years ago, the KMT barely loss and the pain still remains. Anyway, we all went down to the polling station and voted for candidate #2 who I believe to be the GOOD GUY! Here I am flashing my 2 digits but why is Ryder wearing a #9 on his chest you may be asking? Taiwan has some very weird strict laws that state you can't have the # of the candidate on any apparel. Since there were two candidates, you can't wear a shirt with the #1 or #2 on it! Pretty stupid huh? Anyway, Ryder is wearing "9" because OUR candidate is Ma Ying-Jou. Jou in Chinese means 9. Simple as that. As you can see Ryder really doesn't care for politics which is the beauty of being a kid. Politics ruin the world. Why can't we have a world without borders and war? Just to let you know, WE won in a landslide. 58.5 % to 41.5%.
But that's not really what's important to Ryder cuz all he really likes are toys and gifts!!! The really really important stuff in the world! Grandpa and Grandma Sophie brought some stuff for Ryder from LA that Mommy Jax had asked for. No toys, just some special diapers that they don't sell in Taipei.These are used for night-time cuz they hold a ton of piss! so we don't have to wake up in the middle of the nite to change him. These are another one of those great baby inventions that make our lives so much easier. There was one problem though! They were sold out of the Buzz Lightyear ones for boys so my dad ended up getting the Hot Chics of Disney ones for little girls. My dad bought four bags of these diapers that are pink and have pictures of Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Little Mermaid, etc. on the front of the diaper. That's enough for 100 days of humiliation and I think Ryder kinda caught on when we started laughing at him. Just look at these pictures and decide for yourself.
It was hilarious! He totally knows these are for girls cuz he won't look into the camera. He's like "you are NOT getting a shot of my face wearing these girly butt huggers!!! NO WAY JOSE!!!" Then he started crying and I know mommy and I shouldn't have laughed but it was just way too funny. Ok so we are mean but it was just way too funny. When he grows up and reads this post he's gonna be so pissed. I know that he's gonna get his revenge on me one day when I'm like 90 years old and laying in bed. He's gonna make me wear a lace leotard with hooker heels or something and snap a picture of me. What goes around comes around!
