The Redemption!

Ok, Daddy Alex finally has some time to post the wedding pictures and now realizes there is a backlog of Halloween photos!!! I don't think I will ever be caught up with this blog!!! Anyway, you all know that we went to Barcelona for Auntie Carolyn's wedding. The ceremony was actually about 45 minutes outside of Barcelona city at this awesome castle! Yup a real life castle with the big, grey, stone walls and the hangin' tapestry. It was a real spectacular setup. I'll get to the pictures quick and of course we will end the blog with Ryder's 2nd ringbearer video. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go back and read the July 2, 2008 blog post. Will the reward of a tomato steady my son's quick feet? Read on!!!
Everyone was so excited for the big wedding day, especially Ryder, cause he got to wear his favorite tuxedo one more time. We all piled into the bus at the hotel and headed for the castle. All aboard!!!
Ryder wore his black cumberbund and bowtie this time and momma jax wore a beautiful dress from our friend Linli while sportin' the new bun in the oven. The place was quite picturesque and stunning, a perfect venue for a wedding! Everyone got seated and the beautiful bride, Auntie Carolyn walked down the aisle escorted by dad.
Dad is wiping his glasses here but I like to interpret it as crying. I think he's crying cuz half way down the aisle, he realizes his 3 children are all married and none of them will be asking him for money ever again!!! The relief just opens up the dam and he's so overjoyed, he can't contain himself! He's literally laughing inside, "haha! Alberto, you support her now. You have no idea what you are getting into." All kidding aside, she was a beautiful bride with a gorgeous dress. She arrives at the front and sits next to Alberto and all seemed well. Until the grey clouds started rolling in and the sun disappeared. The minister wasn't halfway through her speech when it got dark and we felt the first pellets of rain.And just like that, we are now indoors!The magic of blog editting. Actually, it wasn't that fast in real life. We had to clear out everyone from the lawn and move the ceremoney inside, but it all worked out fine. The rest of the ceremony went off without a hitch and here's the first picture of newly married Auntie Carolyn with momma Jax.Ryder had a good time just running around and eating tapas. Oh my god, just to let you all know, there was like 21 different tapas dishes that kept coming out. I kept stuffing myself and was actually a little full, which was a blessing in disguise. There was no way I was holding out till dinner which started at 9:30pm. We thought Ryder would pass out before dinner but he outlasted dad and Auntie Jeanne who were both caught snoozing at the table. Ryder eventually konked out but not before we were able to snap this family shot. I actually didn't take that many pictures cuz daddy was getting pretty tired himself. The dinner lasted for quite a while but they eventually cut cake with a huge SWORD!It was way past midnight when dessert came out and the music starting blaring. The dancin' was in full effect. Everyone got a little bit of a second wind getting jiggy on the floor but that lasted for all of 30 minutes. We all went outside to check out the scenery and pose for some pics...as an excuse. Everyone just wanted to be closer to the bus to make sure they got a seat back to the hotel. There was two buses leaving the castle, one at 1:30 am and one at 3:30am. All the locals who are use to the Spanish schedule was staying till the end. All of us tourists, and parents with babies were making damn sure we were gettin' a seat on the 1st bus. Immediately after I clicked this shot, Auntie Linda, Erin, Chris, Jackie, Auntie Charlotte, and Uncle Jeff made a beeline for the bus!
Poor little guy was so tired. But he had a great day. He played, danced, ate, pooped, saw his auntie get married and he peformed the duties of the ringbearer wonderfully....or did he?????

Everyone should give Ryder a big high five. He did great, didn't stumble and made is safely down the aisle to be reunited with his favorite tomato. So now we know, cars will make him run too quick but tomatoes are crusin' speed!!!!
