All Aboard!

We went on a yacht party this past weekend for a birthday for one of Ryder's friends. The weather wasn't great but the company was nice so we had a fantastic time. We headed out to the marina which was a little bit far but we were all very excited to get on a boat. Ryder's been on the high seas before but the boats have been quite large and this was a smaller craft so we were a little nervous about him maybe getting a little queasy. Here we are on the dock before setting off. I suddenly had to go to the bathroom so I ran to take a quick leak and when I came back, the boat was gone! Yup, they left without me but they came back. They knew the ramifications if they had left me behind! Anyway, every person on board had to wear a life vest including the little smurf but it's not always "one size fits all."As you can see, the vest was a little big on him but for safety, we kept it on. It was so funny cuz it looked like a hooded life vest. I think his cheeks were squished like this for about 2 hours before we felt it was safe for him to unclip the top. The ride turned out to be really fun cuz we stayed in calm waters and there was food, drinks, clowns, and lots of kids on board. As the sun set there was a fireworks show that nearly made us deaf and all the kids loved the sparklers including Ryder who was just fascinated. Our worries of rough waters and sea sickness never materialized so everything went smoothly. Soon all the kids began to tire and Ryder was the first to pass out. It must've taken him about 4 seconds to zonk out. So we've conquered planes, boats, and automobiles. Bring the trains on next!
