We are finally back from Macau and Hong Kong after a very long and tiring trip. I went for work at the Wynn Hotel in Macau where we ran the World Series of Mahjong. The event was very successful but didn't really get to do anything in Macau cuz the schedule was killer.
Ryder and mommy spent a few days in HK first and there is good news and bad news. The bad news is that Ryder has Bronchial Hyper-Activity which is a respiratory illness which can lead to further complications like asthma. We thought he just had a cough that kept lingering and we went to the doctor who prescribed him some medicine. But it persisted and Jackie's uncle is a well known doctor in HK with very good connections. So the good news is that he referred us to a very good respiratory pediatrician that diagnosed the little smurf correctly. He told us the cough should be controlled in 10 days but it will take at least a month for everything in his system to clear away. In addition Ryder has a huge amount of medicine to take. I will post some pictures when I get them uploaded, but the poor boy cries soooo much because you have to literally suffocate him with the inhaler meds. It's very sad but the doctor says we have to take care of it now before it gets worse or it will affect him more later in life.

Hey Jacky, so sorry to hear about Ryder's condition. Spencer was the same before, and I think we went to see the same pediatric respiratory dr. in HK also, that uncle mike recommended and he's very good...it's sad to see them loaded on all the medications but it does get better....Spencer is better now that he's older so just hang in there! We are trying to wean him off all the sprays by giving him homeopathic remedies. You may want to look into that also. take care
Christine
Hope you feel better soon Ryder!
